Welcome to the 11 March @boutSeniors enewsletter.
March 17 is St Patrick's Day, so this issue we are wearing green and celebrating all things Irish. Last week's enewsletter was a celebration of International Women's Day and we received some interesting feedback from Jean Paul who expressed concern that the content was only written for and by females. We do have “blokes” working in the office and writing for us (take a bow David, Drew and Geoff), we hate to alienate our subscribers. So, this week in our St Patrick's Day special, we have been careful to cover Irish events, publications, recipes and pubs which all Australians can access, and not just dwell upon the travel component of the Irish experience, as fabulous as it is.
Mym has worked hard to find some (clean) Irish jokes, Debbie has reviewed a wonderful DVD set in Dublin, David and Kaye share their favourite Irish destination, and in Taking care of the pennies, we even explain the intricacies of an Irish-Australian pension.
For those who are lucky enough to be visiting the Emerald isle, there are some great new travel deals, and the rest of us can just enjoy the armchair travel experience, and send in our favourite Irish jokes to have a chance to win one of four copies of Are You Being Served?, Series 7. Or maybe just go straight to the source to find out if there's a little bit of Irish in you!
May the luck of the Irish be with you
