Fathers and grandfathers

Welcome to the 2 September 2008 enewsletter
Sunday 7 September sees us celebrate Father's Day, a day dedicated to saying thanks to the fathers and grandfathers who have helped us become the people we are today. Of course, we should be saying thanks to such mighty men on a daily basis but should we have forgotten this over the last year, we have a few ideas to make the day special.
Many of the men in our lives would be happy to receive a copy of our
reviewed books or a trip to the cinema to see the touching movie, And when did you last see you Father? If you have a more active family then why not take part in this year’s Fathers’ day fun run, celebrate a 100 years of Rugby League or go diving off the Reef. Answering some simple questions on our Retirement Living Survey gives you the chance to win some fantastic prizes, including accommodation at a Mercure hotel and a Crazy John's mobile phone.
Webmaster Drew gives us another handy technology hint and our answered Centrelink question helps with the cost of going online. This month we have four copies of Ballykissangel, Series 5 on DVD to give away, simply recommend a friend to enter the draw. Geoff makes us thankful for what we have and Drew is all for giving people second chances. Fathers’ Day or not, spoil the man in your life now and again.

Keep smiling
David, Debbie and Drew
