Your new site

Welcome to the 19 August 2008 enewsletter
It’s been a long time coming... but we trust you will enjoy the "new look" AboutSeniors site, and our tagline... YOURLifeChoices health+wealth+travel+work which confirms what you already know – this site is designed to assist you to make the best life choices in these four important categories. Don’t worry that we’ve gone too high tech – too many bells and whistles and animations which will drive you crazy. Not at all. We’ve just tried to categorise the extensive information and resources in a logical and user-friendly way.
So the navigation bar across the top of the page now lists all the features you could ever want. High on the home page you will also find the
latest site news and shortcuts to the most popular features.
Scrolling down you will find extra short cuts to the most visited pages: Crosswords, Sudoku, the Meeting Place, Centrelink, Seniors Card, Discount Directory and a general page holding the most popular Resources.

Our hero for this week is Laurie Lever, competing in his debut Olympics in Beijing as part of the Australian Equestrian Team. Laurie will be 61 in October this year!
And, to conclude on a more serious note, we are continuing to press for an immediate increase in the Age Pension – not one that might happen down the track, maybe. Our blog page carries Gerberry1’s suggestion that all those who agree might contact their local Member of Parliament on the same day. We love this suggestion and so nominate Wednesday 1 October as a day of action. We will send out reminders and make it easy by listing all MPs' email addresses on one page on this site, so mark the date in your diary now. And in the meantime, catch up with the public consultation into the pension review process – meetings started in Darwin today.

Don’t forget to tell us what you think of the site,
Warm regards
David & Kaye Fallick
