15 October VOL 07 Issue 24

Your website

Welcome to the 15 October @boutSeniors enewsletter.

What does the @boutSeniors website offer you?

Since the @boutSeniors website was established in 2000, it has been continually updated and upgraded to provide the BEST possible information, resources, links and discounts for seniors both in Australia and across the globe.

This 120th edition of the enewsletter is a celebration of what we offer and how you can access it.

We particularly enjoy highlighting the ongoing value of older citizens – and this week there is a lot to celebrate with the high proportion of seventy- and eighty-year-olds winning Nobel Prizes in their various fields of endeavour. We also love the work being done by the group of 12 statesmen and stateswomen known as 'Global Elders'. Announced by Nelson Mandela on his 89th birthday, these eminent citizens are sharing their accumulated wisdom to achieve solutions to some of the more intractable issues confronting mankind. Every issue of our fortnightly enewsletter contains the chance for you to win DVDs of popular movies, movie tickets, travel prizes and more. The ‘Win a $20,000 trip to Canada's West' prize is open until 19 December 2007 – click here for your chance to win. And we are offering four DVDs of Ballykissangel Series Three to win if you share your view on the best 'seniors' choice in the coming election. Vote now

Above all else, whilst the site is about seniors, it is also for all age groups who interact with older Australians – so if you are over 60, or care about or for someone who is, read on and learn more about what we do.

Reader's feast
Those who love to read – and, more particularly, those who love to read about reading – will delight in New York editor, Sara Nelson's, So many books, so little time. No, this is NOT another book of lists – it's far, far better than that. Instead, it chronicles one woman's journey through 52 books in as many weeks, and celebrates that strange and indefinable magic which occurs when a reader engages with words on a page. Read more now
