About This Site
Get connected

@boutSeniors’ Meeting Place page is new and interactive. It’s quickly becoming the hub of the site, a place for subscribers to have their say, to communicate with each other, to upload favourite images and much more.
@boutSeniors hopes you enjoy trying out the many exciting things to do at the Meeting Place. @boutSeniors regulars who have previously registered on the site with a user name and email address just have to log in on the Meeting Place home page and off they can go. Otherwise, you will need to register – it’s easy and quick.
Those visiting the Meeting Place for the first time will enjoy setting up a user ‘profile’, which tells the community about your interests and who you are. Once you have registered, on future visits to the Meeting Place you just log in and you can get your messages or catch up with what is going on.
On the Meeting Place you can
· upload your photos. Just email them to from your computer or mobile phone. Be sure to check the size of the photo before you send it. The maximum file size is 1300pixels X 1000pixels and less than 900kb. If you are unsure if your photo is a suitable size email us at for guidance.
· view yours and others’ photos in the photo gallery. You’ll find the photo gallery on the top right hand side of the page once you’ve registered as a member and/or logged in.
· post public messages which all members can see and reply to. You’ll see the ‘post a public message’ button clearly once you’ve logged in.
· send personal messages between your meeting place member friends.
· print out your own ‘calling card’ to hand out to friends new and old. A calling card is a handy, informal card that contains your details and a photo of your choice. Once you have set up a profile you can click ‘print calling cards’ and print the cards just as you would any other document. Then cut on the dotted lines and pop a few into your wallet. You never know when they might come in handy.
Enjoy the fun of connecting with your online community through the Meeting Place. Share your photos, have your say – and encourage your family and friends to take a look too. Kids will love it – and big kids too. Go there now
Get personal

Our personals page has taken off in recent months with subscribers making the most of the chance to meet new people. Currently ‘Virtracey’ from Melbourne is looking for dining companions, Paul from South Sydney is seeking a mature lady and Dede from Brisbane wants ‘Mr. Right’.
Many people put the call out for companions or travel partners and others use the personals pages to tell people about a reunion event or to ask for volunteers. You’ll also find some wonderful tributes to those who have passed, as well as people trying to locate something: a certain book – or beloved cat!
So if you’ve got a question – or even an answer– use your imagination and post your message on the personals page for the world to see. Go there now
Affordable opportunities
The classifieds section of @boutSeniors offers you great discounts. Here you will find new and affordable opportunities in accommodation, motoring, travel and more.
It’s easy to access the discounts and, if you have something you want to sell, it’s also simple and easy to add your own classified! New categories in this section of @boutSeniors are still in development, so you can look forward to more great offers in areas including good living, technology, events, financial services and wellbeing. Don’t get spammed
We’ve had many people wonder why they can’t receive the enews after they’ve subscribed. It’s possible the enews has been spammed – that is, sent to junk mail.
If you are using Microsoft Outlook Express, open the enews, go to ‘actions’ in the top toolbar, then scroll down to ‘junk email’ and across to ‘add sender to safe senders list’. This should help, if this is the source of the problem. If you’re still having trouble, you can email and we’ll do our best to work it out for you.
Computer glossary
Did you know that @boutSeniors has an extensive glossary of computer terms and acronyms such as ROM and RAM?
For those days when understanding your computer seems overwhelming, the @boutSeniors A–Z computer glossary may just help. Simple explanations of everything from firewall to flash, it could make your day. You can find it on the left hand side bar under technology, computers, then basics, or just click here now
Blogs
For the uninitiated – a blog isn’t anything awful. Blog stands for web-log, an online diary page where anyone can write about what concerns or interests them and others can join in the conversation by posting their comment.
@boutSeniors has two resident bloggers – publisher and author, Kaye Fallick, and Community Church Leader, Geoff Holt. Geoff’s blogs are interesting and thoughtful muses on the meaning behind the parables. Kaye’s blogs are often a comment on current societal trends or the way of the world today. But you never know what they will discuss…that’s the great thing about a blog, it’s whatever you want it to be – a place to have your say on any subject.
Our bloggers would love to hear from anyone who has a comment on what they’ve written. There is a ‘Visit Kaye’s blog’ button on the top right of every page. We look forward to reading what you think too. Go there now
Get your head in gear

The @boutSeniors Sudoku and crossword pages are two of our most popular pages. In case you haven’t tried a puzzle online, here’s a gentle reminder that they’re just as enjoyable – and just as good for improving cognitive function – on screen as on the page.
There is a new crossword and sudoku puzzle every day. And you don’t have to be online to play. Once the crossword has downloaded completely, you can go offline and the puzzle will still work. So technology issues will never keep you from your fun.
And the crossword crazy can enjoy a choice of crosswords everyday, so those of you who love a challenge can try to get them all out. Go to the crosswords now
